At Hope Clinic, we believe every parent has the opportunity to thrive when given access to great tools, accurate information, and encouragement. Thriving parents lead to healthy, thriving children and communities, which is why we are happy to provide in-person prenatal and new parent classes, at no cost, to the public.
Join our in-person courses on pregnancy on Thursdays, 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm. This class series repeats every 2 months. Dinner will be provided for you and a guest (spouse, boyfriend, mother, or friend). You will have an opportunity to ask your pregnancy-related questions to our staff, which includes a Registered Nurse and an occasional guest speaker. You also be given the opportunity to take home baby items and even earn a stuffed diaper bag!
Register now to reserve your spot! After registering, you can expect to start receiving text reminders for all classes unless/until you opt-out by replying to one of the texts. Please confirm and let us know how many people will be coming so we plan enough food. You are welcome to bring a support person. Children are also welcome, but we are unable to provide childcare and they must stay under your supervision
The 1st Trimester and Prenatal Care – Appointment Only
A lot is happening during the first trimester, from morning sickness to fatigue and all of the changes in between! Meet with a registered nurse to learn more about the changes you may be experiencing as well as ways to manage some of those early 1st trimester symptoms. During this appointment, the nurse will also go over things to consider when establishing care with a new provider.
The 2nd Trimester -November 7th
Learn more about what the 2nd trimester holds, from changes the expecting mama may be experiencing, to the growth and development of the baby, and the nutritional needs for both! We will also talk about birth plans and things you may consider important for your own birthing experience.
The 3rd Trimester – December 5th
The 3rd trimester is the final stretch! As with the 2nd trimester class, we will discuss the changes the expecting mama may experience in the 3rd trimester, as well as the growth and development of the baby. We will also go over ways to prepare body and mind for the Big Day as well as preparing your home for that precious, postpartum period.
Labor, Delivery, & Postpartum – December 12th
The Big Day! We will discuss the changes your body goes through as you begin the labor process as well as multiple forms of pain management and labor positions. We will also talk about postpartum needs and recovery. We are blessed to have a nurse—who works in Family Birth—come as our special guest and offer insight and perspective from the workings of our local hospital..
